Artist Statement & Biography
Color, texture and design are the elements that are primary to Jan's work. These non-objective paintings on paper display her interest in the formal and decorative aspects of art, and the heavily worked surfaces demonstrate her love of the process itself.

Jan's influences include an extensive background in fiber/fabric arts, and an abiding passion for art museums.

Jan Fogel resides on the northern coast of California.
